    ASSIGNMENTS

    You’ll have 3 weeks in between meet ups and you’ll need to submit reviews of your sequences and your practice teaching

     

     

    *If you are already a Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals, this course counts as your ‘CPD’ and you are able to then gain specialist insurance to teach  yoga classes to children and brand yourself as a children’s yoga teacher.

     

    *If you are coming from an alternative background, you will have to check whether your existing insurance policy can be extended to include cover for children’s yoga.

A course developed by experts in children’s education and taking a flow-state approach to learning
As a Children’s teacher you will learn to adapt sessions for each age group:
Early years (2 – 4 years)
Foundation and Key Stage 1 (5-8 years)
Key Stage 2 (8-11 years)
Secondary (12-16 years old)

Art of Teaching Yoga
– Art of communication- Using your words, voice, language, music  and song
– Art of Holding Space – Classroom management strategies- how to effectively retain children’s attention for optimal learning
-Art of Story-telling
-Art of Creative sequencing
-Art of Business- How to promote your yoga business
Science of Teaching Yoga
– Yoga Poses for children
– Class Plans suitable for each age group- 15 mins / 30 mins/ 60 mins
– Breathing Techniques for children
– Guided Imagery and Other Relaxation Techniques
-Partner and team play Yoga
